Obesere goes hip September
Fuji artiste, Abass Akande Obesere, has announced plans to release his much-anticipated hip-hop album next month. The singer had earlier hinted on his plans to cross over to the hip-hop genre, a move many tagged mission impossible.
But the Orobokibo crooner showed signs of living the talk when he featured in the Diamondz’s single, Bosokoto. Some are of the opinion that his presence in that work, gave it a lift. Yet, observers are keen to know how far Obesere can go with his newfound love –– hip-hop.
However, Obesere is not saying ‘bye to fuji’ as he plans to make it a double; the hip-hop and fuji album, which will be released at once. According to Stingomania Record, both albums will go for N1000 per copy; both will come with 8 tracks each.
With this new album, who knows, Obesere may be redefining the term fuji musician, with his label ready to get the marketing part settled; they just signed an agreement with Black Tresure Entertainmnet, a distribution company in Winsconsin, USA. There will also be sales through reverbnation.com, iTunes.com, CDBaby and Tunecore.
